Cosy mobile games for when the week has been rough
Some weeks you don't want a challenge. You want something soft to poke at while your brain cools down. Cosy games are underrated medicine, and phones are the perfect place for them.
Orchard Keeper is my go-to lately. No wilting crops, no punishing timers. You prune a tree, check on your bees, trade some jam, and put the phone down feeling slightly more human. That's the whole appeal.
Lantern Hollow works differently but scratches the same itch — quiet, atmospheric, no failure states to speak of. With headphones it's genuinely soothing, like a short walk somewhere foggy and safe.
The trick with cosy games is not to expect them to be exciting. They're not meant to be. They're meant to be kind, and the good ones absolutely are.
