Lantern Hollow
★★★★★ 4.7
Lantern Hollow is slow in the best way. You wander a foggy village, tap to inspect things, and slowly piece together what happened to the people who lived there. It's atmospheric and gentle, with puzzles that lean on observation rather than trial and error.
The sound design deserves a mention on its own — creaking wood, distant wind, the click of your lantern. With headphones it's genuinely immersive. Nothing here is scary exactly, but there's a lovely melancholy hanging over the whole thing.
It's short, maybe four or five hours, and we mean that as praise. It says what it wants to say and stops. A perfect weekend evening game.
